About Us

Thank you for choosing the Fulton-Miami County Veterinary Clinics for the health and well-being of your pets. Both clinics were established by Dan Quinlan, DVM. They were built to satisfy a growing demand for superior veterinary care for a rapidly expanding pet population at our clinics.

The needs of your pets will be satisfied by our friendly, trained staff of receptionists, technicians and veterinarians. We believe in a total health care concept, designed to provide quality care for your pet from infancy through their senior years. Our emphasis is on preventative medicine, client education, and quality care to ensure healthy, long-living pets.

Dr. Dan Quinlan D.V.M.

A proud Graduate of Michigan State University, Dr. Dan moved to Indiana in 1978
to pursue his veterinary career.  In 1984, he opened the  Fulton County Clinic, specializing in the treatment large and small animals. In 1989, he expanded his practice, building a clinic in Miami County. Dr. Dan treats four legged family members only. He also raises and breeds beef cattle on his farm north of Rochester. He enjoys landscaping, fishing, gardening, sports and is an avid golfer. He is happily married to his wife, Kathy.  Together they enjoy their four children and eleven grandchildren.

Dr. Noel Ratliff

A new addition to the Fulton County Vet Clinic family, Dr. Noel Ratliff joined the staff in July of 2015.  Prior to joining Dr. Quinlan, Dr. Ratliff spent 13 years working as a small animal veterinarian in Marion.  Although he’s not a specialist, he enjoys working with small mammals like rabbits, ferrets, rats and guinea pigs.

He was born and raised in Gas City and is the eldest of three children. His Grandfather, also a veterinarian, encouraged Dr. Ratliff to pursue a career caring for animals.  After high school, he took the short trip to West Lafayette and Purdue University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and then a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  Along the way, he met his wife Catina, also a Purdue graduate.

Dr. Ratliff currently resides in Marion with his wife, his 3 active boys (ages 3, 7, and 10), 1 lovable dog who’s a pure bred mutt, 2 cats, and a number  of guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. A true outdoors enthusiast, Dr. enjoys hiking, camping, and bike riding.

Dr. Carrie Byerly

Dr. Byerly was raised on a farm in Westfield Indiana. As a youngster she was a ten year member of 4H and always enjoyed her time around animals. In 2000 she graduated from Westfield High School and made the trip to West Lafayette and Purdue University where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She began Veterinary school in 2005 and graduated with her degree in 2009. She spent the first 5 years of practice in Iowa at a veterinary hospital working with both large and small animals. In 2014 Dr. B decided she had been away from home long enough and chose to head back to Indiana settling near Kokomo. After working in the area for a couple years she joined the Fulton County Vet Clinic team. Still a farm girl at heart, she loves being outdoors. She and husband Nate were childhood sweethearts and have been together for over 15 years. They have two children, Clara and Joe, who keep them very busy; and a cat, Ferdinand Boots (named by Clara). Her hobbies include gardening, reading, kickboxing, horseback riding, and helping her husband, Nate, work on and drive antique tractors.
